flc is a run by a husband and wife team of qualified food professionals with wealth of experience in the development and cost effective production of good quality, safe and legal foods. The company’s services are used mainly but by no means exclusively by smaller food manufacturers and distributors. Nick Pinches holds a degree in Food Science and Bacteriology. He worked for SmithKline Beecham for 18 years in various production and technical management roles within their food division. He has been responsible for assisting companies in India and Africa set-up production facilities and improve upon their existing production and quality management systems. He became the Company Technical Manager of the multinational dairy company, MD Foods and then the General Manager of a sandwich factory. Nick has worked for the North West Food Centre at Manchester Metropolitan University providing food technology advice to their client food companies. flc was set up in 2000 to offer production and technical experience to food companies across the North of England and flc’s client base has continued to grow significantly using external funding wherever possible. Nick is a Fellow of the Institute of Food Science & Technology, a Chartered Scientist and a British Retail Consortium-qualified Third Party Auditor as well as well as an adviser to the Board of Directors of the Food Technology Advisory Service for Yorkshire and Humber. |
